Most chatbots forget you when you close the tab.
They also stop at giving advice. Artzi stays with you in one continuous conversation, remembers what matters, does the work, and tells you what it's doing in plain words.

Local models need no key, and nothing leaves your computer.

Everything it can do comes from plugins.
That includes its own file and web tools. Optional plugins add more search and page-reading services: the bot sees one simple web_search tool, and you decide which service answers it and in what order.
Each plugin runs in its own restricted process, and only reaches the network hosts, files and keys it declares.

There is no Artzi cloud.
Only what a reply needs is sent to the model provider you chose.
API keys are stored with the operating system's secure storage and are never shown to the interface or to plugins.
File tools stay inside the folders you share. Deleting a file always asks first and moves it to the trash.
Web tools refuse local and private network addresses.
Conversations, memories and settings stay on your machine.
Get started
Artzi is a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux. There are no packaged downloads yet, so for now you run it from source.

$ pnpm devYou'll need Node.js 24, pnpm, and an API key from one of the supported providers, or a local model. Artzi walks you through the rest when it first opens.
Status: used end to end on macOS. On Windows and Linux it builds, passes its tests and starts up in automated checks, but hasn't been used by hand yet.
